Shed Pads

At Firm Foundations, we specialize in both gravel and concrete pads for sheds.

What Goes Into Preparing a Gravel Pad

  • Basic site grading
  • Placing 4 x 6 timbers and anchoring them with 2′ rebar
  • Corners are pinned together using 10″ galvanized spikes
  • Fill with 3/4 clean stone, leveled to accommodate your new shed

And here is what goes into pouring a basic concrete pad:

  • Grade site and scrape off grass and topsoil
  • Put down a stone base, grade and tamp stone
  • Install moisture barrier
  • Install wire mesh or place a rebar every 2′ each way
  • Form up for concrete
  • Pour concrete and trowel for finished product
  • Install hurricane straps or anchor bolts, if needed
